Ricky Tuftyhead VS Beauty and the Beast

When we are talking stories about true love between ugly and beauty, most people always reminded with beauty and the beast

                                    (note: you know what this is already, repetitive is unneeded.)

Where a beautiful girl fallen in love with a beast after she has been forced to stay with beast, the beauty fall for his gentleness, and they happily together. The end.

This is where most people said 'What a wonderful tale.' but not for me.

Ever since I was small (The time my mom read me bedtime story), I don't like Beauty and the Beast (except Disney movie, they are legendary) because I have read the best love story about ugly and beauty in Ricky Tuftyhead

For those who has read or too lazy to read, allow me to summarize what this story is about.

This is the story of Ricky who is ugly but smart. The fairies has said that Ricky has the ability to give his intelligent to whomever he loves. At the same time, there is beautiful princess but stupid. The fairies also said that the princess can give her beauty to whomever she loves, but her beauty will be halved. Because the princess is too stupid, she is very sad, until Ricky said that he can make her smart with one promise : marry him (he also give the princess time to reconsider for a whole year). Since she is stupid, she agree directly. Once she became smart, she regret it and reconsider the marriage. Now this part is what I love the most : Ricky Tuftyhead ask the princess if she hate any part of him, but the princess said that she loves everything about him. Hence he then said "If that is so, you have made me the most handsome man in the world." (Now that is true love.) Even if it is true or not Ricky turn handsome like what fairy said, it does not matter anymore, as they are live happily ever after (the end).

I like this story more than beauty and the beast because:

• Ricky does not force princess to live with him, instead he do like what intelligent man do
• The princess has a choice to accept or to decline (as only brutes doesn't give freedom)
• No need a kiss to turn the guy into beauty or to prove the true love
• This tale can even happen in real life (true story)

Although I wish the author of this story can make a happy ending for other character, this story really touching my heart and I wish somebody can make a cartoon movie out of this. People need to know that there are a lot of stories that better than usual fairy tales.
